Hydrogen becomes Getme CMS and is ready to go!

Getme's recent development, the website Content Management System for SMEs known as Hydrogen CMS, is now ready for use, and has been renamed Getme CMS.

This totally modern solution to website content management allows in-browser editing and management of text, images and documents, directly on the pages as seen by website visitors. No more confusing interface layers to hinder the user; text is entered and manipulated, and images positioned or resized directly on the web page, giving total confidence when editing and the best possible viewpoint for controlling layout.

In addition to these general website content management facilities, further features are in development for Getme CMS such as a News article module in order to make the entering and management of news stories as effortless as the rest of the system.

Karbon Creative to partner Getme

Strategic marketing agency, Karbon Creative has announced that it has taken a significant stake in long term supplier; Getme Web Solutions, in order to expand its service portfolio.

The deal will also see existing Karbon MD, Joe Birkedale, join the board as marketing and client services director.

Getme, having recently completed a management buy-out, was keen to secure the services of Mr Birkedale in order to steer the company's strategic accounts towards new products that sit in the development cycle.

Getme founding director, Anthony Blackshaw, expressed his views on the announcement by explaining "he [Joe Birkedale] has a real ability to get under a clients brief, to see the real scope of work and to maximise the relationship to its full potential - but he does this in a way in which the client feels in total control. There is no hard sell."

As part of the deal Karbon, with current clients spanning automotive, manufacturing, retail, fine art, e-commerce, motorsport and property sectors will continue to service its own client base whilst also offering its services as in-house solutions for Getme customers.

Air enables effective email marketing

The latest development for Getme's Air web framework is a fully featured Email Marketing system.

This allows any company an effective way to keep customers up to date on products, services and events via specifically targeted emails to consenting individuals.

Although easy to use, the power and potential of the system are considerable.

Customers can be divided into groups according to their past interests or behaviour, so that an email campaign can be targeted towards those who are most likely to respond to the subject matter.

An email can automatically include almost any information stored in the database, so for example the top ten best selling products could be chosen for insertion into an email template and the ten products featured would be the current best sellers on whatever date the email was predetermined to be sent out on.

This is only one basic example however; rules can also be defined to target customers depending on whether they conform to various criteria at the time an email campaign is due to be sent out.

The system evaluates all variables before sending, so that even a campaign which has been planned months in advance will automatically include all currently relevant information and will be sent to the most suitable recipients.

The system has a hugely flexible facility to send out an email campaign on a single date, or on a specific date in the future, or to repeat at any frequency for any number of days, weeks, months or even years.

There is little point in distributing emails without being able to tell if they are having the desired effect, and so the Air Email Marketing system also has a full reports facility which lists the results of any campaign in table or graph form, and the comprehensive data can be used to evaluate the success of a campaign and plan more effectively for the future.

Creating surveys is a breeze with Air

Getme's Air web framework now supports a facility for the creation of online surveys.

Multiple surveys can be created and made available to website visitors or email recipients for any length of time as specified by an Air administrator. Surveys can contain as many questions as desired.

Questions are set up by an Air administrator and the answer format for each can be defined from a comprehensive range such as text field, multiple choice-single answer, multiple choice-multiple answer, required answer etc.

It's quick and simple to reproduce any printed survey or questionnaire in an online format, which then makes collating and evaluating the results so much easier.
